So it's that time of the month again. When pay day is so near yet so for and I tell myself to not spend anything until I have been paid... Yet I always end up spending. I can't help it. It happens every month and I still haven't learnt.
But anyway, I just picked up a few bits; Skincare, hair and beauty. So I'll just get into it then!
Earlier this week I made a couple of spontaneous online purchases. I firstly went to Avon with one product in mind. I saw a concealer on someone's YouTube channel (I can't remember who!) and I took one look at it and knew I needed it. It looked so creamy and perfect for defining brows and lipstick. So before I knew it I had that and the 'Eyebrow Duo' brush in my bag. The brush is a straight top concealer brush so perfect to get under the brows and evenly defined.
You can see that I've already tested it out and it's so smooth and feels like it will be lightless on the skin.
Next up is a trust Liz Earle purchase. They had on offer on that both the Cleanse and Polish and the iconic toner were both £9.50 each which is just an absolutely bargain that I couldn't resist! I argued with myself for a while. Did I need them?! Well probably not no but I would need them at some point when the ones I have now run out. So why not get them whilst they're on offer?! Very logical of me right? They came so lovely packaged with a lovely note from a girl called Nikki (so hello!)
On my lunch hour I can't help but go out and have a nosey round the shops and create a mental payday wish list. But this time I actually headed to Boots to get some essentials. I knew I needed my conditioner which is actually Boots' own range. The Fresh Apple Conditioner leaves my hair feeling so soft and healthy and it's only about £1! Some of the more expensive branded conditioners left my hair feeling okay but not as good as this one! If you have dry, frizzy hair then definitely check this out!
Whilst in the hair aisle I noticed an advert for Garnier Ultimate Blends hair masks and I've heard a lot of good things about these. My hair is always in need of some intense moisture so I decided to pick up the coconut one that is for dry frizzy hair, ie my hair type. It says to use 2-3 times a week so I'll let you all know how I get on with it!
My final purchase is just an essential. I can't go anywhere without this in my bag. Like seriously. I get the nervous sweats if I don't have it on me. Soap and Glory Hand Food. Please tell me I'm not the only one who can't cope with life without a hand cream in close reach at all times?!
I don't need to talk about this too much as you will all probably know how good it is. It's not greasy but gives instant and long term relief for dry hands. And I get really dry hands as I'm constantly using hand sanitiser at work. So this is a life saver for me.

One Heck of a Foundation
For what seems like forever and day I have been using Loreal Infallible Matte Foundation and we were a perfect match. It did me no wrong and I wouldn't let my eyes wander to new and different foundations.. until recently!
I was becoming a bit bored of my Infallible and I think my skin was used to it and was craving something new. So there was only one thing for it: a trip to good old Boots. I began by scouring my usual stands; Rimmel, Maybelline, Revlon, you know the drill girls! But then something drew me to the Soap and Glory stand, a place that is all too new to me and I stumbled upon the 'One Heck of a Blot' Foundation.

I began by scouring my usual stands; Rimmel, Maybelline, Revlon, you know the drill girls! But then something drew me to the Soap and Glory stand, a place that is all too new to me and I stumbled upon the 'One Heck of a Blot' Foundation.
It claims to be 'Fabulous. Flawless. Full Coverage.' I agree with the first two claims as it leaves my skin with an airbrushed look which I love. However the latter isn't 100% true as to me full coverage is where no marks, freckles or acne scars etc. can be seen, but with this foundation imperfections still show through. I'd say it is more of a medium coverage which is still great.
Soap and Glory have also described it as 'All Day Liquid to Powder' which I fully confirm. It is fairly liquidy yet as soon as I buffed it in the powder finish came to life to leave a lovely matte finish. And oh boy does it last all day! I apply it at about 7 am every day, do an 8 hour work day with air con and heating blasting onto my face and then have a gym session after work. I arrive home at about half 7 in the evening so a good 12 and a half hours later and my foundation is still intact with little to no shine! So it definitely does last the 12 hours it claims to.
I have mine in the shade *Fair Enough* and it is a perfect match for me. I was a bit worried it would be too yellow for my skin but it matches lovely. There's a great spectrum of shades (all with cute names too!) so there will definitely be one for you to try!
I think this RRP's at about £10 so really affordable for a really great foundation. I will definitely be heading back to the S&G stand!

Skin Saviour
So first things first.. HELLO AGAIN!
It feels so weird to be back but so good; I don't really know why I stopped blogging to be honest, I think life just got in the way!
If you can remember from my old posts I've told you all about my skin problems and how I have an ongoing tackle with problem and acne prone skin. I've tried so many different products and treatments that claim to help skin and stop breakouts and blah blah blah. Basically the majority of them did as much good as smearing dog poo all over my face :) :)
I decided to just go out and get that one thing everyone talks about, you know the one, that beautiful pale blue bottle, the infamous scent.. Got it yet?
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish.. If you know you know.
As soon as I had it in my possession I felt like my life was complete and all my stress had just left me.
So yeah I've been using it religiously every night instead of my other favourite Garnier Micellar Water to remove my makeup. It literally removes every single bit of my makeup and normally I really struggle with mascara because I use waterproof mascara. But this stuff is sent from the gods. Not only does it remove ALL my makeup but it's actually got rid of my breakout and brightened my skin back up as it was really dull and tired.
I wake up and my skin is so soft and plump in the mornings after using Cleanse and Polish and it means my makeup sits so nice on my skin and seems to last even longer. Liz Earle I love you.
I also love seeing my full gave of makeup come off on the cloth.. Just me?
Hannah xx
