Evening Skincare Routine

I know it seems a bit back to front doing a evening Skincare routine before a morning routine, but I have a reason! My morning Skincare routine is honestly the simplest thing ever, I don't have time for complex and time consuming tasks in the morning, so I tend to keep it simple. My evening routine however, is slightly more interesting, yet simple.

Over the years I have tried and tested hundreds of skin care products, in the hope that they would aid my problemed skin. I spent so much money on products that I honestly didn't think were all that good. So I recently ventured into the drug store and found some really good products that have updated my routine and made a huge difference to my skin so I thought I would share them with you!

So I start by taking my eye makeup off (including my brows). To do so I take some of the Garnier Micellar water on a large cotton pad from the baby section in Boots; I love these because they're so big and therefore take off all the eye makeup in one simple sweep.. Especially with the Micellar water which is amazing!

And here's the result of that!

I then head to the bathroom to take off my face makeup. I recently discovered a Nivea cleanser and it has changed the game! You apply it to dry skin and simply massage it in, and rinse with water and it removes pretty much every bit of makeup.

It's the Sensitive Cleansing Milk and it's literally the most moisturising cleanser I've tried. A lot of cleaners I've found have ended up drying my skin up completely and leave it feel so tight, to the point where I've had to rush to apply moisturiser.

I then go ahead and double cleanse, with the Micellar water from previously, just to ensure that I've got every spot of makeup off.

My choice of moisturiser for night is a recent discovery. I've wanted to try the Vitamin E range from the Body Shop for ages now, so when I heard SuperDrug had a dupe range I jumped at the chance. So I picked up their leave on moisture mask and I immediately fell in love. I leave it on over night, and it leaves the skin feeling so soft and hydrated.

From the same range, I use their eye cream. This again, leave my under eye feeling so amazingly soft. I do suffer from dry under eyes and this has made a massive difference. I've noticed my concealer no longer creases which is great!

I hope this has inspired some of you to try out high street skin care!

Lots of love,
Hannah xxx

  1. I love the Body Shop Vitamin E range, and would definitely recommend them if the Superdrug ones are compatible with your skin, as they are better quality and have a more extensive range. :) x
